Exhibition pavilions
At the 2007 show, 611 exhibitor companies from 20
nations participated in the International Aerospace
and Defence Exposition.
The centrepiece of the exposition at AVALON 2009
will be an internal pavilion complex comprising three
expanded inter-connected exhibition halls housed in
modern high-technology clear-span temporary
structures.
LanDef internal displays are integrated into the main
exhibition pavilions.
External displays
Outside, the exhibition pavilions are supplemented by
a range of external exhibition facilities, including freestanding
display structures and outdoor exhibition
space.
External areas are also available for the presentation
of aircraft, vehicles, armament and other equipment.
Mobility display area
A vehicle mobility display area is located on site for
the demonstration of military vehicles and heavy
equipment.
Positioned near the main exhibition pavilions, the
mobility display area is a unique facility for the dynamic
display of defence equipment and military vehicles.
UAV demonstrations
AVALON offers an unsurpassed opportunity for
operational demonstration of UAV’s.
Uniquely, UAV’s can be presented dynamically as well
as on static display.
Aircraft displays
A special feature of AVALON is the comprehensive
variety of aircraft on display.
External space is available for the presentation of
aircraft on static display.
Customer demonstration flights are conducted on
each of the four industry-only trade days with flying
displays being featured each afternoon.
Corporate hospitality
At AVALON 2009 an extensive variety of hospitality
options is available for LanDef 2009 and the Australian
International Aerospace and Defence Exposition.
They include Corporate Reception Chalets, Corporate
Villas, Restaurants and a range of other facilities for
the entertainment of guests.
Conferences
A broad range of international conferences, seminars
and symposia will be conducted in conjunction with
the show.
13 conferences, seminars and symposia were held in
association with AVALON 2007.
Meeting rooms and conference facilities are available
on site.
Media
The 2007 Australian International Airshow and
Aerospace & Defence Exposition attracted a record
650 accredited journalists and media representatives.
With the benefit of a comprehensive international
media centre, AVALON 2009 will be the ideal venue
for major announcements on policy, contracts,
partnerships and industry developments.
