The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace
& Defence Exposition is conducted biennially. The
inaugural event at Avalon was held in 1992.
It attracts key decision-makers in defence from
around the world, as well as numerous high-level
military, government and industry delegations.
Building upon this well-established international
reputation, LanDef 2009 will be an essential
showcase for marketing land-based systems,
equipment and technology and networking with
industry contacts,military professionals and
government officials.
The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace
& Defence Exposition is presented with substantial
support from the Australian Defence Force and the
Defence Materiel Organisation of the Department of
Defence.
It is also supported by other Australian government
agencies, including the Defence Science and
Technology Organisation, the Department of
Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and
Austrade, as well as defence and aerospace industry
organisations and professional associations.
